Flathead Lake - Somers State Park
Somers Beach is located on the northwest shore of Flathead Lake. The park provides access to nearly a half-mile of shoreline. The park is comprised of a wide, flat sandy beach that is accessible when Flathead Lake is below full pool from fall through spring, a rocky shoreline to the west, extensive wetlands and riparian areas in the south/center, and some treed and grassy areas inland.

Great Northern Rails To Trails
With 22 miles of paved trails, the Great Northern Rail Trail extends from the town of Somers on the north shore of Flathead Lake, through downtown Kalispell then west to Kila. Soak in epic views - including the Swan, Mission, Salish and Whitefish mountains - along the way, while taking time to enjoy the five murals painted on tunnels along the trail system. All, or part of the route is perfect for walking, running or biking.

Lawrence Park is a community park with a large recreational area for soccer, Frisbee golf, climbing boulder, horseshoe pits, large playground, nature trail and two rentable pavilions. Walking and bicycle trail access to the Stillwater River.
Lone Pine State Park
With a bird's-eye view of the Flathead Valley, Lone Pine has 7+ miles of mixed-use trails, from well-surfaced routes to steep single-track that meander through the park's colorful forested terrain. The trails can be used for hiking, biking, snowshoeing and horseback riding, while overlooks provide breathtaking vistas of Flathead Lake, Big Mountain, Jewel Basin and Glacier National Park. Be sure to pop into the kid-friendly visitor center to learn more about the area, visit the gift shop and participate in a workshop or interpretive program. Leashed dogs welcome.

Swan River Nature Trail
Bigfork’s 2-mile long gravel trail looks down upon the Wild Mile of the Swan River. Take Montana 35 in to Bigfork, turn on Grand Drive and go past Electric Avenue and the Bigfork Inn. The trailhead’s at the top of the short hill.
The Parkline Trail, Downtown Kalispell
Experience Downtown Kalispell via the Parkline Trail, a paved trail for access to breweries, restaurants and shopping with stunning views of beautiful landscaping from the valley floor to mountain vistas of the Flathead Range.
Woodland Park
Woodland Park is a year-round local favorite with paved trails, play equipment, skate park, water park and a top-notch ice-rink equipped with stadium lights, comfortable locker rooms and benches for hockey games. The facility is open for public skating on most Saturdays and Sundays in the winter.
